Inaugural lecture and oath taking ceremony of the MBBS Students of Intake 38 was held on 12^th January 2022 at the Main Auditorium of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, KDU. Colonel (Prof) RW Seneviratne graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered the guest lecture.

Major General MP Peiris, the Vice Chancellor of KDU; Brigadier W Chandrasiri, the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Defence and Administration; Prof. KAS Dhammika, the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic; Air Commodore (Prof) RANK Wijesinghe, the Dean Faculty of Medicine; Colonel HMGE Herath, the Dean Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies along with the senior professors, professors and the academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine took part in the event.

Both military and civilian medical students of Intake 38 have taken their oaths at the event.
