The purpose of the Research Cell-Faculty of Medicine (RC-FOM) is to enhance the research culture and build capacity by stimulating the research or research related activities in the faculty.
The RC-FOM comprises of the following persons:

Roles and Responsibilities
- Promote and facilitate local / International Research Collaborations including industrial partnerships and commercial ventures.
- Liaise with the Dean (Research and Development) of KDU in facilitating activities related to research and development. This includes collaboration with other faculties and entities such as KDU-CARE.
- Provide suggestions to the Faculty Board on any research related matters and capacity building at KDU & UH-KDU.
- Serve in an advisory capacity to the FOM coordinators of the International Research Conference KDU (IRC, KDU).
- Collaborate and help for the KDU IRC and Undergraduate Research Symposium.
- Evaluate the research proposals submitted for the KDU research allowance
