• Established links with “ Global Mental Health Affairs ; Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada in order to strengthen the research capabilities of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Kelaniya and Sri Lanka. A memorandum of understanding has been signed in 2011.
• Also established links and commenced research work related to “Near-Death Experiences” with Dr. M.H.Perera, Consultant Psychiatrist and an Honorary Senior Fellow of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne, Australia.
• Established links with University of Bedfordshire, UK, regarding research work on Maternal Mental Health, multicenter study in South Asia. Commenced on 2024.
